 INDUSTRIES: ELECTRONICS

Component manufacturing for electronics

Enclosures, insert-molded parts, and precision fixtures for electronics companies. Flatout builds the mechanical components of your product, including housings, heat sinks, connectors, and the tooling used to assemble and test them.

How We Work

 WHAT WE MAKE

Parts we build for electronics teams

A sample of the components we support for electronics and hardware companies.

Enclosures & housings

Machined aluminum and molded plastic enclosures with EMI shielding and cosmetic finishes.

Heat sinks & cooling

Machined and 3D-printed heat sinks, cold plates, and thermal components in aluminum and copper.

Connectors & inserts

Insert-molded contacts, threaded inserts, and strain reliefs integrated directly into plastic housings.

Bezels & light guides

Cosmetic bezels, molded buttons, and clear light guides for displays, controls, and electronic assemblies.

Testing & PCB fixtures

Bed-of-nails plates, alignment fixtures, and programming nests manufactured to precise PCB requirements.

Prototype enclosures

Printed and machined enclosure prototypes to verify board fit, component placement, and assembly before production.

 THE RIGHT PROCESS

How we match process to part

Not sure which way to go? Send us the CAD and we’ll recommend the best fit for your volumes, tolerances, and budget.

CNC Machining

Aluminum enclosures, heat sinks, and test-fixture plates machined to precise flatness and positional tolerances for PCB assemblies.

Injection Molding

Production housings with insert molding, snap-fit features, and SPI cosmetic finishes for durable, high-quality electronic products.

Industrial 3D Printing

Enclosure prototypes, cable-management components, and low-volume production parts in flame-retardant materials.

 WHY FLATOUT

Why electronics teams choose us

Precision for every PCB

Hole patterns, bosses, and standoffs built to project-specific tolerances for precise, reliable PCB assembly every time.

Built for rapid revisions

Fast prototypes and bridge tooling keep mechanical components aligned as your board designs evolve through each revision.

One partner, full scope

One partner for enclosures, thermal components, fixtures, and hardware means less coordination on every build.

What file types do you accept?

We accept major 3D CAD formats, including STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, Parasolid, and STL. PDF and DXF drawings are also helpful for communicating dimensions, tolerances, materials, and finish requirements.

Timing depends on the process, material, quantity, and complexity of your parts. Quotes are typically provided within 24 hours. Prototype orders may be completed in as little as 1 to 10 business days, while larger production orders may require additional time.

Yes. We can hold tolerances as tight as ±0.001 inch on critical features when the material, geometry, and manufacturing process allow it. Include a drawing with your CAD files so our engineering team can review each tolerance requirement.

We support customers across automotive, industrial equipment, consumer products, product development, and other industries that require dependable custom parts. Contact us to discuss the requirements for your application.

Yes. Available finishes include anodizing, powder coating, plating, polishing, and other options based on the material and manufacturing process. Tell us your appearance and performance requirements when requesting a quote.

Our engineering team reviews your files, material, quantity, tolerances, and finish requirements. We will contact you if we have questions, then provide clear pricing, estimated timing, and the next steps for production.
